V Irfan of Malapuram got the 1st
rank in the Medical Entrance
Exam. N Shammi of Kollam and P
Ashita of Ernakulam district
achieved the 2nd and 3rd rank
respectively. In the SC/ST
category, C Krishnamohan of
Kozhikode won the 1st rank
while A Syam of Kollam secured
the 2nd rank.
Irfan said: “After
writing the exam and doing a
rough calculation, I expected a
good rank. But the 1st rank was
not expected. I’m so happy to
achieve the 1st rank. I thank Allah
theAlmighty, my family, teachers
and friends for my victory.” “My
systematic and dedicated study
at PC Thomas Sir’s institution
helped me achieve this. The well
disciplined, good teaching
atmosphere there helped me
achieve this,” added Irfan. This
was his second attempt.
Out of the 1,01,905 candidates
who appeared for Engineering
Entrance Examination, 65,632
candidates qualified for
admission. 33,653 boys and
31,979 girls made it to the list.
The rank list for Engineering
Entrance will be announced later
after adding up the marks of Plus
2 examination as this year’s
Engineering Rank list is a
combination of both Entrance
exam and Plus 2 marks.
Thecandidates qualified in the
Engineering Entrance
Examinations will have to submit
the marks of Qualifying
Examination by Online. The site
will be available during first week
of June 2011.
