ReplyDeleteafter seeing the paper...difficulty wise it was same as last year's paper...i think the cutoff will be around 180-190
Deleteya, the difficulty levels are almost same. Chemistry this time is good, but it was last time also. paper-2 of iit jee 2011 was good just as it is the case with this paper. The problem here which can boost the cut offs is the lack of negative markinks in paragraphs and multiple choices, due to which ,many can get marks by doing even lame guesses. I PERSONALLY FEEL, THAT THERE SHOULD HAVE BEEN NEGATIVE MARKING FOR PARAGRAPHA AND MULTIPLE CHOICES, WHEN THE DIFFICULTY LEVELS ARE MODERATE.
Deletenegative marks were there for paragraph questions.They were not there for integer type and more than one correct answer questions.

ReplyDeletesince the paper has 408 marks instead of 480,so the cutoff should be below 200
ReplyDeleteits given on brochure dat this years cutof marks will be 35% ,so i guess whoever crosses 143 will be given a rank....
ReplyDeletelet me tell you that this yeaR PAPER WAS MORE DIFFICULT SINCE PAPER 2 WAS VERY DIFFICULT LAST YEAR BOTH THE PAPER WERE VERY EASY AND PLUS SO MANY BONUS MARKINGS THAT CUTOFF ROSE TO 229 ABT 30 MARKS WAS BONUS SO EVEN THE MOST DUMB STUDENT WOULD HAVE GOT MORE THAN 30 THIS YEAR NO BONUS MARKING WIL BE AWARDED . HA HA HA HA!

this yr the paper was concetual vwery time consuming
annd iit is not giving free marks instead zero marks to everybody for 2 questions
cut would be 170-180
